Nope! It is a safe and easy procedure that takes about 15-20min, with nom drilling! We use dental grade material and LED light to adhere the gem to your natural tooth surface. This process is very similar to placing a ortho bracket on a tooth for braces.

No, only natural teeth. Gems cannot be applied to any artificial tooth surface such as crowns, caps, veneers or dentures.

We use genuine crystals that are lead free and non toxic. They do NOT contain dangerous plastics or acrylics, and are safe for oral use. They are stain resistant with a flat back and foiled platinum surface.

Yes, it’s a dental grade adhesive that is used in the application of traditional braces.

Tooth gems will not properly fit under clear plastic retainers, such as Invisalign, Smile Direct and other full coverage retainers as well as mouth guards. If you have a traditional wire retainer and bring it to your appointment, we will be able to apply the tooth gem in a specific place that won’t interfere with your retainer. Smaller gems are recommended.

Do not brush directly over the gem within the initial 24 hours of application. Do not use an electric tooth brush for at least 48 hours after. Brush regularly and always practice good dental hygiene. You will want to gently brush around the gem to avoid any build up.

No eating or drinking anything but water for the first 1-2 hours. Avoid hard foods and candies for the first 12 hours.
